With a LongPerng low profile focuser

This
telescope was almost a gift that made me a colleague. I was defective
(one small scratch on secondary mirror) and I decided to get the maximum of it, so I first tried to tune the original plastic focuser and finally decided to replace it with a LongPerng low profile dual speed one (about 150 euro). I had to drill fout new screw holes and cut a wider central hole.
The camera focus with the focuser on half position, but the
eyepieces need an adapter to focus even with the retractable extender.
To photograph I do not recommend the use of expander, because it
introduces too much bending. Also I do not recommend using the brake because it makes focuser tube to lost contact with the bearings of clayford and
causing heavy clearances and flexture.
The telescope is not of
great quality, have a significant coma and vigneting with large
CCDs is considerable, but is very bright and allows decent amateur astrophotographs.

Este telescopio fue casi un regalo. Estaba defectuoso y decidí sacarle el máximo partido, de manera que le cambié el enfocador de plástico de serie por este de LongPerng de bajo perfil y doble velocidad (unos 150 euros). Tuve que hacer cuatro nuevos orificios para los tornillos y agrandar el orificio central.
La cámara encuentra foco con el enfocador en su posición media, pero los oculares necesitan un adaptador para hacer foco incluso con el extensor retractil.
 Para fotografía no recomiendo el uso del extensor, porque introduce demasiadas flexiones, y en ningún caso recomiendo usar el freno porque desplaza el tubo de enfoque haciendo que pierda contacto con los rodamientos del clayford y provocando fuertes holguras y flexiones.
El telescopio no es de mucha calidad, presenta una coma considerable y el viñeteo con ccds de gran tamaño es notable, pero es muy luminoso y permite hacer astrofotografías decentes.
